Maltz Museum is Looking for Docents

Tuesday December 9, 2008
The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, in Beachwood, is looking for docents to welcome and help educate visitors to the facility. Says Director of Visitor & Volunteer Services at the Maltz, Martha Sivertson, "Docents learn the inside story of exhibits and interact with a diverse range of museum visitors and topics." Experience working with children and present or past docent experience is helpful, but not necessary.

To learn more about being a Maltz Museum docent, you can attend one of three information sessions being held December 15 at 11am, January 5 at 1pm, and January 12 at 3pm. For those who choose to take docent training, sessions with area historians and museum staff will begin in February 2009.

You don’t have to be Jewish to learn about the Museum and what we have to offer. Develop your cultural competence! Please RSVP for the Information sessions to Martha at (216) 593-0587.
