In 1983, Cleveland was abuzz about "A Christmas Story," the film being shot downtown at Public Square and in Higbee's Department Store and at various locations in the Tremont neighborhood. The film, which went on to become a holiday classic, tells the story about a typical family and their young son's dreams for the holidays. This year, the excitement continues in Cleveland as the "Christmas Story" house, the actual house where the movie was filmed, welcomes visitors. The Tremont house, now owned by "Christmas Story" fan and Leg Lamp distributor, Brian Jones, has been restored to its "original" 1983 condition. Visitors can tour the house, the yard, and the "Christmas Story" museum across the street.

I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it. I get excited every year at the thought of it coming on TV, even though you can get DVD’s now! I have actually stayed up and watched marathons of it (before DVD’s!). I am so happy to hear that someone loved the house and story enough to preserve something that warms so many hearts!!
Thank You !!!
