Halloweekends at Cedar Point
Friday August 29, 2008
It may be over two months until Halloween, but it's time to make plans for Cedar Point's Halloweekends. The park is transforming itself into a haunted wonderland every weekend from September 12 until November 2. Beginning September 12, the park will be open each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for "Halloweekends." Attractions range from the tame to the truly terrifying. New this year are two themed walk-through attractions: Terror Island, which is inhabited by pirates and mermaids, and CornStalkers, which is a cornfield guarded by mysterious scarecrows. Guests will also find two new dining options: The Mid-Evil Market and Alien Cafe. Returning this year is the Monster Midway Invasion Celebration, which takes place at 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Cedar Point is open Fridays from 6pm until midnight, Saturdays from Noon until midnight, and on Sundays from 11am until 8pm. Adult admission is $25.95 on Fridays and $43.99 on Saturdays and Sundays. Senior (over 62) and Junior (under 48") admission is $19.99.

Why can you people not drop the price, so single mothers can take there child to all the so called fun at Cedarpoint on Hal. weekends?
I agree with Jen…it’s so the rich can get richer, that’s why. That’s what this greedy world is all about…selfishness and greed.
i agree with you i am a single mom of 3 and they would love to do something like that but who can afford it not me
yeah, I agree. Wow, I thought the Halloweekend prices would be cheaper than regular prices. Only to find out its over the top. Why would they charge the same amount?? Do you still get to ride the rides??? Wow, this will be a big let down for my family.
Yes, the price is expensive. But seriously, it’s WAY worth it. I will NEVER go again during the summer… Halloweekends is the BEST time to go! I just went a couple days ago for the first time and the longest line we waited in was MAYBE 20 minutes. Most rides we just walked right on. And yes, every ride was open.
i wanted totake my 6 year old granddaughter to the point she has never been there 20$ is a lot 4 her she limited on what she can ride but my god 44$ 4 me to stand around and watch her is just to much. do you know how many hours i have to work to give you over 60$ pluse $`s to feed us no way then to tell her i can afford to take her ,that beautiful face dissapointed again
I cannot believe you guys are on here complaining about the prices of Cedar Point’s Halloweekends. With most Halloween attractions out there now averaging about 15-20 dollars to go to, and they only have an average of 3-5 houses to go through, Cedar Point IS A BARGAIN for 6 extra dollars getting alot more haunted houses and walk through’s PLUS rides, PLUS Characters interacting with you, PLUS things for the children, PLUS live shows…etc, not to mention the whole park is transformed into an awesome Halloween experience…they really put alot of hard work and effort into it. Not only that, but Cedar Point employs trained people to entertain us, unlike the volunteers that alot of these other haunted attractions rely on, so seriously think about what you are getting for your money. If you did the starlight ticket for 26 bucks, that still roughly 5-6 hours, and you’d be getting alot more than you would anywhere else.
I agree with cindy 110% U single woman can take yur children out to dinner and spend
$40.00 easy..What kind of fun for them is that? How about going to a hounted house between $15.00 to $25.00 a person that last 10 to 15 minutes. We went last year to a hounted house 2 people and spent at least $65.00..We were gone 1 hour at the most..
Dont wanna stand around for $40.00 and watch your child or children hav a wonderful and amaizing time?? Come on r u serious>>
I dont see how you can come up in here and compalin about theese prices..If you cant afford to take your children to this event then you cant afford to even have the dam internet..Wake up its 2008 bout 2 b 09…
Nomatter where ever you take your kids your gonna spend over $20.00 on them..I liv 7.5
hours away and my minumum wage is not going to stop me from having a wonderful time with my children at ceder point this holloween..so how bout u jus take a moment and think about the kids and the luv around yas instead of thinkn about your selves and makin excuses..
while it may seem a bit expensive. Cedar Point spends MILLIONS of dollar to keep their park on the cutting edge. And then spend countless dollars for upkeep and staffing. These upgrades and amenities make the park worth visiting. Just like anything else, the cost is passed on to the consumer. basic economics.
Im a single dad and Im paying for this myself. Why dont you splurge that extra money you make and treat your kid. Use the the water fountains instead of buying $5 pops. Bring fruit snacks instead of buying concession food. Walk a mile and lose a pound instead of paying $10.00 parking. Sent with love.
Thats expensive!! How can anyone including families enjoy entertainment there are probably no rides!
Thats insane.
