Cavs Lose Despite James' High-Scoring Game
Monday May 19, 2008
LeBron James racked up an amazing 45 points in the seventh game of the NBA Eastern Semi-Finals yesterday in Boston, but it wouldn't be enough. The Cavs lost to the Celtics 97-92, ending the 2007/2008 season for the Cavs.LeBron was almost evenly matched by the Celtic's Paul Pierce, who had a high-scoring day himself and amassed 41 points. But it was the Celtic's team effort that landed them on top. Cleveland struggled in the first period, falling 16 points behind and they never regained the lead.
Said James to reporters after the game, "Now I think, at the end of this season, I just need to just fine-tune the rest of my game." I applaud his committment, but 45 points is nothing to be ashamed of; perhaps the rest of the team needs to improve their game.
