National Inventor's Hall of Fame to Close Temporarily

Sunday April 27, 2008
The National Inventors Hall of Fame, located in Akron, is closing for construction beginning April 27 (2008). The facility, which was founded in 1973 and honors the men and women inventors who are responsible for great technological advances, is adding a science, math, and technology middle school--a part of the Akron Public School System--as well as a new gallery that will feature invention and inventor-related exhibits. The museum will reopen in the fall of 2009.
