Kent Heads for the NCAA Tournament

The Kent State University men's basketball team defeated the University of Akron Zips Saturday night, winning the MAC title and an automatic invitation to the NCAA Tournament.The KSU Golden Flashes are the #9 seed and will meet UNLV on Thursday, March 20 in Omaha in the first round of the tournament. If they win on Thursday, they will play again on Saturday, March 22.
This is the fifth appearance for KSU in the NCAA men's tournament. Their last appearance was in 2006, when they were eliminated in the first round by Pittsburgh.
