Cavs Aquire Wallace; Trade Hughes and Gooden

Ben WallaceNew talent is coming to the Cavs. The organization acquired forward Ben Wallace (pictured at right) from the Chicago Bulls and forward Wally Szczerbiak from Seattle as part of a multi-tiered trade Thursday afternoon. They also acquired forward Joe Smith from Chicago and point guard Delonte West from Seattle

Leaving the Cavs are guards Larry Hughes and Shannon Brown and fowards Drew Gooden, Cedric Simmons, Donyell Marshall, and Ira Newble.

The Cavs also received a second-round draft pick from Chicago.

The 6' 9", 240 lb. Wallace is a four-time NBA All-Star as well as a four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
