Mustard Seed Market and Cafe Cookbook

Sunday January 13, 2008
New for the holidays last year was a fresh and colorful natural foods cookbook by Northeast Ohio's own Bev Shaffer of the Mustard Seed Market and Cafe. The 330-page book is filled with healthy and easy-to-make dishes, many of which are illustrated with glossy, color photographs.

Included in the book are some of the Mustard Seed's own recipes as well as a host of vegetarian dishes and meals made using the bounty of Northeast Ohio. There's also sections on identifying organic food and a brief history of the restaurant.

Ms. Shaffer has been with Mustard Seed since 1997, as their cooking school director and bakery director. During her career, she has developed over 8000 recipes, for Mustard Seed and other companies, such as the Cleveland Clinic, Summa Health Care Systems, and Cleveland Botanical Garden.

Mustard Seed Market and Cafe Cookbook is a loving tribute to the foods of our region, and the recipes and writing are as fresh as the produce.
