C.C. Sabathia Wins the Cy Young Award
Wednesday November 14, 2007
Cleveland Indians pitcher, C.C. Sabathia was awarded the 2007 American League Cy Young award Tuesday. The winner of the award, named after early 20th century pitcher (and Ohioan) Cy Young, is determined by the Baseball Writer's Association of America.Sabathia is only the second Cleveland Indian to win the award. (Gaylord Perry won it in 1972.) He is certainly deserving. During the 2007 season, the 27-year-old Sabathia was 19-7 in 34 starts with a 3.21 ERA.
Boston's Josh Beckett was second in the voting. Cleveland's Fausto Carmona placed fourth.

Blubber Butt Buffet Sabathia …lol
Mr. October …lol
Trade the bum to the Yankees while he can still waddle out to the pitchers mound.
Late for spring camp
Hitting the buffets again no doubt !
At this rate - by openning day,
He might weigh in at 500 lbs…
Trade the bum now.
The fat cat won’t get the Tribe 2 cents
in another month or two…
They will need a crane to haul him out of the bull pen …lol
And give the Cy Young Award.
To its rightful owner.
the man who earned it.
Not just through the regular season…
But in October when it counted.
Josh Beckett……..
