Area Ski Resorts to Host Open Houses
Monday October 8, 2007
Yes, the temperature is hovering around 85 degrees, but, like it or not, the snow will soon be flying. To get ready and to introduce visitors to their facilities two area ski resorts are hosting open houses in the next few weeks.
Boston Mills/Brandywine, located just south of Cleveland in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, is having an event October 12 - 14. You can buy season passes, take a ride on the lift chairs, shop for new ski gear, and sell your old equipment. There's be live music, food and beverages, and a Skateboard halfpipe exhibition. Hours are noon to 8pm on Friday and 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Over at Alpine Valley in Chesterland, east of Cleveland, an open house is scheduled for October 19 - 21. There'll be season pass sales, rides on the lift chairs, food and beverages, and live music.
