This Weekend in Cleveland - Theater, Fall Festivals, and More

Friday September 21, 2007
The weather may still be summer-like, but fall events abound and theater companies around the city are commencing their seasons. Among the shows to see this weekend are "Arsenic and Old Lace" (pictured at right) by the Great Lakes Theater Festival at the Ohio Theater at Playhouse Square through October 12; the timeless Broadway musical, "Man of La Mancha" at the Cleveland Playhouse through October 7; and "Purlie Victorious," a classic comedy by Ossie Davis at Karamu Theatre until October 21.

Other weekend events include the Cleveland Indians last home stand of the regular season--Friday, Saturday, and Sunday against Oakland (will the team clinch the AL Central title this weekend?); the Fall Harvest Festival Saturday at Lake Farmpark; and Mandy Moore at the House of Blues on Sunday evening.

For more on these and other weekend events, see the About.com Cleveland September events calendar.
