Cedar Point's Maverick to Debut May 26

Friday May 25, 2007
After a brief delay to replace some pieces of track, Cedar Point's new coaster, the Maverick, will debut on Saturday. The Maverick, which will be the park's 17th coaster, is 4450-feet long with a 105-foot high first hill and lots of thrills, including a darkenend tunnel, several inversions, and lots of "air time." The ride will reach speeds of 70 mph.

Cedar Point is open every day from now until September 3 and on selected weekends from then until Halloween. Admission prices for 2007 are $41.95 for adults and $11.95 for those under 48" tall and/or over 62 years old. Children under 2 are free. Season passes and multi-day passes are also offered.
