A Visit to the Cleveland Botanical Garden Flower Show
Thursday May 24, 2007
The 2007 Cleveland Botanical Garden Flower Show, whose theme is "Rhytmn and Hues," kicks off on Thursday for a five-day run. The show, held every two years, is the largest outdoor garden show in North America. Features include festive show gardens, more permanent theme gardens, and the CBG's permanent collection gardens. In addition, there are high-quality garden vendors and over 1000 juried entries in flower arranging, horiculture, jewelry, and youth divisions. The Show runs from May 24 - 28; hours are 10am to 8pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
Admission is $20 for adults, $6 for children 4-12, and free for children under 3. Members receive a $6 discount. An all-show pass is available for $40.
Parking is available throughout University Circle. The Garden is running a free shuttle bus from selected area lots. See the Garden's Web site for details. There is also onsite valet parking offered for $15 (a good idea if you are planning on buying any large pieces of garden art).
I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the show and came home with lots of photos. Join me for a preview of the 2007 Cleveland Botanical Garden Flower Show.
