MGM Grand Hotel and Casino Detroit
Set to Open in Fall of 2007

Tuesday April 24, 2007
Clevelanders will soon have another casino/resort destination close to home. The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Detroit has announced the details of its hotel construction project, set to open in the fall of 2007. The new facility, which is adjacent to the existing MGM Casino, will feature 385 oversized guest rooms, 56 corner suites with city or skyline views, and 9 rooftop VIP suites with up to 1920-square feet of living space. All rooms will include wireless Internet access, large plasma screen TVs, and "technology butler" telephones.

Other hotel facilities will include several restaurants, a piano lounge, a high-energy dance club, a full resort spa, 30,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, and a separate "guests only" lounge and entrance.

The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino Detroit will be located at 1300 John C. Lodge Freeway, just one block south of Michigan. It's about a three hour drive from downtown Cleveland.
