Princess Diana: a Celebration

Friday February 23, 2007
"Princess Diana: a Celebration" opens on Friday February 23 (2007) at the Western Reserve Historical Society. The exhibit, which runs through June 10, features nine galleries that illustrate Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales', life from her childhood until her tragic death.

Among the many artifacts and mementos on display are Diana's famous wedding gown; her diamond wedding tiara; 28 dresses, suits, and evening gowns; the musical score and handwritten lyrics by Elton John and Bernie Taupin for her memorial service; home movies from Diana's childhood; and paintings from the Spencer's ancestral home, Althorp Estate.

The exhibit is open every day from 9am to 5pm with extended hours ('til 8pm) on Wednesdays. Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for museum members, $17 for seniors (62 and older) and military, and $10 for children 6-12. Parking is available in the lot behind the musuem. Check back next week for a review of the exhibit.
