HealthSpace to Merge with Cleveland Museum of Natural History

Tuesday December 19, 2006
The Cleveland Museum of Natural History (pictured at right) announced last week that HealthSpace, the Euclid Avenue museum devoted to health, nutrition, and education, will merge with CMNH effective January 1, 2007.

HealthSpace, which began in 1936 in Euclid Avenue's Prentiss Mansion, was the first such museum in the United States. The facility announced its intention to sell its three-year-old building earlier in the year.

HealthSpace will remain open through December 31, 2006. After that time its exhibits will be stored and/or displayed off-site while CMNH completes its current renovation project.
