Friday November 3, 2006
Events this weekend in Cleveland include the Royal Drummers of Burundi (pictured at right) performing at the recently remodeled John Hay auditorium on Saturday night, part of the Cleveland Museum of Art cultural program. Also this weekend are Scott Hamilton and friends' ice-skating revue at Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday and reggae musician Ziggy Marley at the House of Blues on Sunday.Gospel! Gospel! Gospel! finishes its run at Karamu House on Sunday and the Barcelona and Modernity exhibit continues at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Both are well worth a visit.
Sports lovers will find something to interest them. Quarterback (and Clevelander) Troy Smith and the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes face Illinois on Saturday afternoon, the Cleveland Browns battle San Diego on Sunday, and the Cavs meet San Antonio on Friday and Charlotte on Saturday. All are away games, so curl up next to your television and watch the games while it snows outside.
