Book Review: "Ohio Road Trips" by Neil Zurcher
Sunday September 17, 2006
Just in time for leisurely autumn drives around Ohio, Gray and Company has released a new Ohio travel book, "Ohio Road Trips," written by Northeast Ohio's own Neil Zurcher. Best known around Cleveland for his Channel 8 TV series "One Tank Trips," Mr. Zucher's new book offers short vignettes on over 500 attractions throughout the state. Inclusions range from the predictable, such as the Cleveland Museum of Art, to the off-beat, such as the Cleveland Accordian Museum in Rocky River. There are lots of Bed and Breakfast listings, unique restaurants (including University Circle's Silver Spartan Diner), and green spaces. The Lake Erie Islands are well-represented as are the Ohio wineries east of Cleveland.
"Ohio Road Trips" is a handy book to own for weekend day or overnight getaways. You can find this book in the "About Cleveland" bookstore and at Crooked River Reading Club in the Galleria or other independent bookstores in and around Cleveland.
