This Weekend in Cleveland: Summer Festivals Begin
Friday May 19, 2006
This weekend marks the beginning of Cleveland's summer festival season. The funky Hessler Street Fair, a two-day festival of music, art, food, and fun in University Circle is Saturday and Sunday.
What's more: the Ohio City annual Home and Garden Tour is Sunday, May 21. One $15 ticket gives your entree into some of the neighborhoods most stylish homes (one of which is pictured at right).
Of course, the Cleveland Cavaliers meet the Detroit Pistons for game six (the final game?) of the NBA semi-finals Friday night at the Quicken Loan Arena. In addition, the Indians host the National League Pittsburgh Pirates for a three-game series Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Jacob's Field.
Music fans will want to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's new exhibit, "Bob Dylan's American Journey", which lasts through September 4. In addition, INXS plays at Playhouse Square on Friday and Pearl Jam rocks the "Q" on Saturday night. Find out more about these events and others in the May events calendar.
Have a great weekend!
