(More) FREE Things to Do in Cleveland
Thursday March 23, 2006
Exploring Cleveland doesn't have to be expensive. In fact, as readers of this site know, there are many FREE things to do in and around the city. Now, there are "More FREE things to do."
The Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art offers FREE admission each Friday as well as every day to CWRU and CSU students. The Cleveland Institute of Music in University Circle hosts a full schedule of FREE concerts each month. Most of these feature students and faculty, but past guest artists have included YoYo Ma.
Interested in seeing home beer is made? The Great Lakes Brewery in Ohio City offers FREE tours of their brewery each Friday from 5pm - 9pm and on Saturdays from 1pm - 9pm.
Other FREE attractions in town include the Museum of Money, opened this January in the Federal Reserve Building downtown. This interactive museum features 30 exhibits as well as games showing how money circulates. Near the airport, the Nasa Glenn Research Center Visitor's Center is open daily and displays space artifacts and hands-on exhibits about the center's substantial contribution to the US space program.
